New Garage Door Installation · Palm Desert & Coachella Valley
Insulated steel, full-view glass and aluminum, carriage house and custom wood overhead doors, measured and installed with new hardware.
Overview
On many homes, the garage door takes up a large part of the front of the house. Replacing an old, faded or dented door is one of the most noticeable exterior upgrades you can make. In the Coachella Valley, the right insulated door can also make the garage noticeably more comfortable.
We help you choose a style that fits your architecture and HOA guidelines. We measure the opening, remove and haul away the old door, and install the new door with fresh tracks, springs and weatherseal, plus opener integration.
Whether you want a sleek modern glass door for a mid-century home or a carriage house door for a Spanish-style elevation, we install it to the manufacturer’s specifications and back it with a written warranty.

An uninsulated single-layer steel door facing west in July can get hot enough to burn your hand, and it radiates that heat into the garage and any rooms next to it. Insulated doors add a layer of foam between steel skins. Polystyrene panels are cut and inserted into the door and typically give moderate R-values. Injected polyurethane foam expands to fill the entire cavity and bonds to the steel. That gives higher R-values for the same thickness and makes a stiffer, quieter door.
R-value tells you how well a door resists heat flow, and higher numbers insulate better. Compare R-values within a single manufacturer, since testing methods vary. For glass doors, low-E coated or insulated glass cuts solar heat and UV fading inside the garage. Light colors and UV-stable finishes also stay cooler and resist chalking under constant desert sun.
Monsoon storms and valley wind events can push hard on a wide two-car door. Reinforcing struts and properly anchored track keep the door from bowing or getting pushed out of its track. We follow the manufacturer’s installation specifications and any local requirements that apply to your home.
Many Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indian Wells communities have HOA design guidelines for garage door color, style and windows. We can provide product specifications and color samples for your architectural review submission. We install doors from established manufacturers such as Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton and C.H.I., and we’ll help you compare options based on construction, insulation and warranty, not just looks.

How it works
We review styles, materials, insulation and HOA requirements, and take precise measurements of the opening, headroom and side room.
Your door is ordered to size. We confirm lead time and book the installation day around your schedule.
The old door and hardware come out, and the new door, tracks, springs and seals go in, set level and plumb.
Springs are balanced, the opener is reconnected and tested, and the old door is hauled away.
FAQ
Most standard residential doors are installed in a single day, often in four to six hours. Custom wood and full-view glass doors can take longer. Ordering lead time depends on the manufacturer and options.
An insulated steel door with polyurethane foam, a light UV-stable finish and good perimeter seals is the strongest performer against heat. For a modern look, aluminum doors with low-E or insulated glass reduce heat gain compared with clear single-pane glass.
Polystyrene is a rigid foam board inserted into the door. Polyurethane is injected as a liquid that expands and bonds to the steel skins. Polyurethane usually gives a higher R-value for the same thickness and a stronger, quieter door.
Yes. We can provide product brochures, specifications and color samples for your HOA’s architectural review. Approval itself comes from your HOA, so we recommend submitting before the door is ordered.
Yes. Removal and haul-away of the old door and hardware are included with every new garage door installation.
Often, yes, if it’s in good condition and sized for the new door. Heavier insulated or glass doors may need a stronger opener, and we’ll tell you before installation.
